Love and Theft: A Memoir of Mental Illness with Author Jocelyn Patten

Building Resilience

26-10-2022 • 52 mins

Jocelyn Patten has lived for many years with serious mental illness. Touching on depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia, Jocelyn gives a deeper look into life with mental illness—both for those dealing with it themselves, but also for loved ones dealing with mental illness second hand. On top of that, she is my cousin! And I have often enjoyed writing she has done in the past.

On today's episode, we talk about some of her struggles, including what inspired her to write her book, how she is trying to help remove the stigma against mental illness, and some of the personal insights from dealing with these struggles.

You can find Jocelyn's website at jocelynpatten.com and get her book, Love and Theft: A Memoir of Mental Illness, on Amazon.
