When people think of STAR TREK, the average person likely thinks of space battles and phasers 'set on stun'. But Trek fans know that there's so much more to the series. Despite it's trip across the galaxy, the franchise has always prided itself on taking a more grounded and scientific approach to its futuristic world. In order to ensure the most realistic vision possible, Trek hired astrophysicist Erin Macdonald, PhD as their official science advisor.
