When Do Killers Plead Insanity? The Case of Darrell Brooks

Killer Psyche Daily

17-11-2022 • 9 mins

In a deadly Wisconsin Christmas parade attack, Darrell Brooks drove his SUV into the crowd, killing six people. To the surprise of many, Darrell chose to represent himself and withdraw the insanity plea. Brooks was found guilty of six counts of first-degree intentional homicide. Just yesterday, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of extended supervision on those convictions.
