What started as a fun game between friends has become a popular podcast called OBITCHUARY. The hosts are best friends Spencer Henry and Madison Reyes. They used to love sending each other the most ridiculous obituaries they could find. They created the podcast to share these obits with the world in new episodes every week.
Henry is the host of Cult Liter podcast, a true crime podcast with a huge fan base known as Cult Babes. Both he and Madison share a passion for all things weird and macabre. This obsession is unmissable in OBITCHUARY. No topic is too horrible or too ridiculous. Listeners can expect to hear about spontaneous combustion, spooky burials, and exploding caskets.
They unearth the concept of terramation, also known as human composting. They question the life of moirologists, who are professional mourners. Each week's episode features a segment called dumb.ass.criminalllllls. In this regular feature, they share stories of criminals who have evaded arrest. And tales of crimes that haven't gone to plan.
The hosts also share some unbelievable confessions from people in their final moments. Some are so incredible that they will stay with listeners long after the podcast. One dying 90-year-old man confessed to his wife that he had a whole other family she never knew. He then lived for two years after his confession.
The subject may seem depressing, but this podcast is anything but. The hosts' wild stories are all through, although they do change or omit names out of respect. Since Spencer and Madison are best friends, their OBITCHUARY chat is easygoing, scathing, and hilarious.
