Our Editor's Take

The Face Jam podcast is a Rooster Teeth production. Audiences know the company best as the creators of RWBY, the animated web series. cohosts Michael Jones and Jordan Cwierz are YouTubers who work for the company. Since one host is "Michael" and the other "Jordan," they call the show Face Jam as an homage to the former NBA star's movie Space Jam.

On the surface, Face Jam seems like a podcast where all Jones and Cwierz do is eat food. However, there is much more to it than that. Yes, Jones and Cwierz do eat large amounts of fast food, in the vein of mukbang content. They try many types of food, often ad-libbing reviews on the spot. While they munch on fast food, they talk about their lives and swap stories. Their different palates and personal stories are the bulk of the show's comedy.

The hosts created one such review for Arby's Diablo Dare Challenge. The gimmick of Arby's Diablo Dare Combo is that it comes with a spicy sandwich, spicy fries, and a milkshake. (Arby's calls the shake the "extingui-shake" because it can cool off the food.) One of the cohosts can handle his spice, while the other powers through his meal. It is a hilarious moment of friendship on the Face Jam podcast. One calm person is chewing and speaking to his friend, with the other chugging the milkshake.

On the Face Jam podcast, they're all about trying the latest and greatest drive-thru. But they won't turn their nose up at a good meal from Outback Steakhouse. Mike and Eric love to try many things when it comes to food. In the Thanksgiving episode, they rank their top Thanksgiving foods. They include old classics and new favorites. It's a fun episode with arguments on all things Turkey Day.

Face Jam's most popular episodes are the Food Court ones. Jones and Cwierz grab miscellaneous items from the mall's food court and pit them against each other. It may make listeners very hungry. New episodes come out each week.
