In this episode Patrick Dessaulles Professional Development Lead with PABC sits down with Simone Gruenig, lecturer and course coordinator in the UBC Physical Therapy program to discuss a study relevant to Acute Care.   The study called Reliability, Validity, Clinical Utility, and Responsiveness of Measures for Assessing Mobility and Physical Function in Patients With Traumatic Injury in the Acute Care Hospital Setting: A Prospective Study was published in the Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal in 2021.   Simone and Patrick cover a brief overview of the study, what the relevancy is of this study to acute care physiotherapists, how we currently assess mobility and physical function in the acute care setting and some key take home messages.
