If someone asks if I do staging, I would reply, "No! Only with your existing furniture. I don't have an inventory of furniture." One of the setbacks keeping me from offering a staging service is the investment and inventory, specifically managing and storing it. Travel is an essential part of a designer's inspiration process. It helps to develop observation skills and think creatively for projects. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Sydney, Australia along with other designers in a mastermind group. I arrived a bit earlier with a couple of my colleagues. We had a great time together and enjoyed the entire experience to the fullest. However, the highlight of the trip was the iconic Sydney Opera House. I was surprised by how much it inspired me and how its design elements could be applied to our design projects.
