Heartbreak for Hockeytown. The Detroit Red Wings came so, so close to making the playoffs. Tune in as we start by lamenting the past few nights (0:00) before giving our thoughts on how the Red Wings just barely missed the playoffs due to the Philadelphia Flyers pulling the goalie against the Washington Capitals, and also give an overview of the final standings in the Eastern Conference Wild Card postseason race (6:05). We then cover Detroit's first dramatic win over the Montreal Canadiens, including J.T. Compher keeping them in it on another off night for Alex Lyon, Alex DeBrincat finally scoring from distance, Shayne Gostisbehere's insane leap to save the game, leading to Perron's great pass for Lucas Raymond's tying goal that set Detroit alight.
