MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: ALEX DeBRINCAT HAS BEEN TRADED TO THE DETROIT RED WINGS! In a podcast first, nearly an hour of recording had happened before Steve Yzerman made the blockbuster deal to acquire Ottawa Senators scorer Alex DeBrincat in exchange for Dominik Kubalik, Donovan Sebrango, a conditional 1st round pick (Detroit's or Boston's), and a 4th round pick. After that, we analyze the 4 year, $7.875 million AAV extension that Alex DeBrincat signed with Detroit once the trade happened: was this good value? Why 4 years rather than 8 years?
