People obsessed with motorcycles may want to check out the Highside / Lowside: Motorcycle Podcast. The show is a production of motorcycle gear site RevZilla.
Zack Courts cohosts Highside / Lowside. Courts costarred with Ari Henning on the Motor Trend TV show Throttle Out. On the show, Courts and Henning explored places such as Thailand and Nepal on motorcycles. Courts also hosted Best of Top Gear. This show celebrated top moments from the long-running, motoring-themed TV series.
Spurgeon Dunbar is the other cohost of Highside / Lowside. Dunbar does several video bike reviews each year for RevZilla. He also does 40-50 video product reviews yearly. Dunbar's articles for RevZilla include "One year later: Spurg's used motorcycle buying expedition." Another Dunbar piece is "The perilous predicament of crashing on private property."
Some episodes offer advice on buying a bike. One episode discussed dual-sport bikes. These bikes can handle everything from dirt roads to long trips. However, the hosts warn, not all dual-sport bikes are equal.
Highside / Lowside also did an episode on beginner bikes. New bikers often start with small displacement bikes. These bikes have less powerful engines. The hosts explain that these bikes have become more sophisticated in recent years. Some of these bikes may also be good options for riders getting their second or third bike. Other episodes include "Motorcycles for the Big, Tall, & Small."
The podcast also has episodes on motorcycle culture. One episode featured Lance "The Silver Fox" Oliver. He is the managing editor of RevZilla's online magazine, Common Tread. Oliver discussed "Motorcycles That Changed History." Another episode was "Breaking Down the Best Motorcycle Movie Scenes (And Some of the Worst)."
New episodes of Highside / Lowside: Motorcycle Podcast appear on Fridays.
