The Purpose Show

Allie Casazza

Mom life. We're surrounded by the message that it's the tired life. The no-time-for-myself life. The hard life. We're supposed to get through it. Survive. Cling on by the last little thread. And at the same time, Carpe Diem - enjoy every moment because it's going to go by so fast. The typical mom culture sends us all kinds of mixed, typically negative messages. We shouldn't take care of ourselves; it's selfish. The more ragged you run yourself, the bigger your badge of honor. But also, ditch your mom bod and work out. Don't yell. Make more money. Show up. Be better, but not at the expense of time with your kids. I am putting a hard stop to all of this. While being a mom, running a business, and whatever else you might have going on is hard, it is a lot and there's lots of giving of yourself, the idea that motherhood means living a joyless, nonstop-hustle-with-zero-balance kind of life, where you give and give and give and never take, needs to stop. I'm on a mission to help you stop counting down the minutes 'til bedtime (at least most days). Stop the mom guilt and shame game. Stop cleaning up after your kids' childhood and start being present for it. I want to help you thrive in work, home, and life. I believe in John 10:10 that we are called to living an abundant life and I know moms are not excluded from that promise. Join me in conversations about simplicity, some business and life hacks, spirituality and lots of other good stuff that leads to a life of less for the sake of enjoying more in your motherhood. I'm Allie Casazza and this is The Purpose Show. read less

Ep 303: Breaking Old Patterns Makes Way For Good To Come Through
When I feel stuck in my business, I feel stuck in my purpose. Can you relate?  As I have shifted over the last year or so, my message has also shifted; which ultimately means, my audience has shifted too. What once felt aligned now feels misaligned. What once felt good and like it was moving forward, now feels stuck and without clear direction.  All of this has led me to recognize old patterns that are no longer serving me and are holding me back from the GOOD that is trying to come through. We all have patterns that do this to us. As you sit and listen to this episode, my hope is that you give yourself some grace and take a moment to look at the old patterns in your own life that may be holding YOU back as well. ❤️ Ps - thank you for always letting me be vulnerable with you, babe. I am grateful you're part of my community.  In this episode Allie discusses:  🤩 When she realized she was stuck and what she did to get out of it  💫 The patterns that hold her back (like holding onto things and isolating herself)  💛 The difference between healthy boundaries and hiding  Mentioned in this Episode: Pre-order the Declutter Like A Mother Planner Connect with Allie: Instagram Website Podcast Page This podcast is produced by Pivot Media Co. Interested in advertising on this podcast? Ep 294: Mommy Juice + Wine Culture with Michelle Smith
We are diving into Mommy Juice (aka wine) culture; from knowing when you are taking it too far to ways you can put yourself in check to defining what a healthy relationship with alcohol for YOU is. Joining me for this conversation is my friend, Michelle Smith. Her story is POWERFUL, and I know you will feel loved (not ashamed) as you listen to her share. Mama's, I see you. You are doing better than you think.  Michelle Smith is a bestselling author, keynote speaker, and the founder of Recovery is the New Black, a digital community for women living or exploring an alcohol-free life. Michelle struggled for years with alcohol addiction that looked like “overdoing it.” In reality, she was drinking to escape the stresses of life---and the “mommy juice” drinking culture was helping her self-destruct. Since getting sober in 2016, she integrates both her personal experience in recovery and professional experience as a mental health and addiction advocate toward normalizing sobriety in our boozy culture.    In this episode Allie + Michelle discuss:  ⚾ Plastic vs fragile balls that moms juggle and how to decide what to hold onto and what to let go of 🍷 When alcohol moves from being something you enjoy to something you use as a coping mechanism 🤩 How to handle being sober in a society that normalizes drinking + social drinking  💛 What a healthy relationship with alcohol looks like  Connect with Michelle: Website Instagram @recoveryisthenewblack Grab her Book! Living Sober, Living Free: A Guided Journal for Women Who Want to Stop Drinking. Ep 289: Find Your Voice, Value Yourself, and Set Boundaries with Amy Smith Green
Our culture (especially mom culture) tells us that self-sacrifice is glorified and that being a martyr to your family and kids is like wearing a badge of honor. But ... when we silence ourselves + continue living in this way, we send a subconscious message to our mind that our wants, opinions, and needs do NOT matter. And ultimately, this determines our self-worth.  So let's put an end to this toxic thinking and culture around us — let's set some boundaries, find our voice, and authentically and unapologetically value ourselves.  Amy Smith Green is a certified and credentialed life coach and hypnotherapist, masterful speaker, and personal empowerment expert. Amy uses her roles as coach, writer, podcaster, and speaker to move individuals to a place of radical personal empowerment and self-worth.  In this episode Allie + Amy discuss:  ❌ Why we are compelled NOT to set boundaries.  🤩 How to figure out where boundaries are needed in your life  ❤️ The core meaning of worthiness and the powerful role it plays in developing boundaries in your life  Connect with Amy Green Smith: Instagram Facebook Website Mentioned in this Episode: Course in 30  Connect with Allie: Instagram Website Podcast Page This podcast is produced by Pivot Media Co. Interested in advertising on this podcast?
