This is the introduction to the next episode in which I answer the question - What is a market?

We begin our journey in the Roaring Twenties and go through the dark days of the Great Depression. Along that journey we trace the path of the stock market which went through a massive rally during the 1920's and then went through a major crash in 1929. This market crash would eventually lead to the Great Depression and set the context for one of the darkest times in human history, World War II.
