Flying in India, literally flying in/for/over India, should be the least of your concerns or fears when contemplating going as an Xpat Pilot to fly for the majority of operators who fulfill your requirements and application, allowing you to go and earn, when employed!

The Salt of our Salt & Pepper India’s bad and ugly:

When we are not flying as pilots for our Indian employer, we, the Xpat Pilots, or Foreigners for that matter, have no awareness of, nor do we identify with, any of the local traditions, cultures, rituals, practices, and habits that exist around us and in our daily lives... we honestly respect their customs, history, and legacy while continuing to coexist with them and our communities.

The pepper of our Salt & Pepper India’s bad and ugly:

The caste system in India is one of the most rigid social hierarchies in the world, it is inherited and it defines a person’s occupation, social status, and marriage prospects.

Not every member of your crew will be born or raised in a developed society, or where brought-up in a high educated population segment where the Cast system is off, inexistent or unaccounted for…

Unfortunately, even in the face of our efforts and greatest intentions to just exercise our flying skills…
