Driving ChangeEpisode 2: “Lifting Expectations”, will feature Mayye Zayed, director of the award-winning film Lift Like A Girl. Globally recognized Gender Equality Changemaker Karen Craggs-Milne and Canadian Olympic Swimmer and Medalist Hilary Caldwell will also be joining the discussion.

Episode 2 releases on July 9th, 2021. Zayed’s documentary Lift Like A Girl is an intimate journey into the inner life of an aspiring athlete and the female weightlifting community of Alexandria. For 4 years, Zebiba goes through victories and defeats, including major losses that shape her, as she finds her way from dust to gold. The conversation bounces between women in sports, the weightlifting community in Egypt and lifting the expectations of gender equality in sport
