Nightmare on Film Street - A Horror Movie Podcast features some of the best horror films ever made. Hosts Kimberley Elizabeth and Jonathan Dehaan explore their favorite horror films in a casual way. Each episode focuses on a famous scary movie. The hosts discuss newer releases such as 2022's The Curse Of Bridge Hollow and Barbarian. They also discuss early horror films such as 1932's The Mummy and 1935's Bride Of Frankenstein. This podcast is an exploration of horror film history as a casual conversation.
Hosts Kimmi and Jon are horror fans and podcasters. They also have experience in filmmaking. They collaborated on Sinphony: A Clubhouse Horror Anthology, a short horror story film. On this podcast, they share their opinions on some of horror's most important releases.
The hosts split the episodes into different themes, depending on the film. "Graveyard Smash" episodes explore movies about monsters, like Dracula. "Return Of The Remake" episodes discuss classic horror remakes. These include films such as The Thing (2011) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). On "Titles Of Terror," they explore films with interesting titles. Movies featured here include Let's Scare Jessica to Death and The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave. In "Rotten Pumpkin" episodes, they talk about films that didn't meet expectations. One of them is the Halloween sequel The Revenge of Michael Myers, for example. Other films featured include Friday The 13th and Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Some episodes invite horror filmmakers onto the show. Directors Danny and Michael Philippou join to speak about their horror debut, Talk to Me. In another, director Kurtis David Harder talks about his thriller Influencer.
Nightmare on Film Street - A Horror Movie Podcast includes regular roundups, too. Listeners can learn about the "Top 10 Horror Movies" of the year, from spooky films to slasher movies. The podcast releases new episodes every week.
