05-10-2022 • 54 minutes

Professional boxer Ed Latimore joins the pod to discuss an issue that has touched everyone’s lives in one way or another – addiction.  Ed grew up without a father in project housing.  It wasn’t until 22 that he took up boxing and learned he was very good.  As success came, so did alcohol.  And when careers end and lives change, addiction cane help people self-medicate and cope.

Make no mistake about it, Ed Latimore is a winner in life.  Ed speaks about his journey of recovery and trying to find himself after his boxing career.  In 2013 after getting kicked out of his housing, Ed made the decision to go to school and change his life one step at a time.

Today, with a child on the way, Ed is a published author and avid chess player.  But the long road that led him here was paved in dark nights.  We discuss his journey.
