IT'S HERE!! What's here? CHRISTMAS!! And before we know it it'll be gone ;)
Yup, here we are heading around that final curve which leads to the end of another 365 AND the beginning of the next!
But before getting too far ahead of ourselves, here's to the 2nd of our Holiday Trifecta: The holiday that celebrates the birth of Christ, Santa Claus, and the support of capatilism ;) The holiday where many of us humans spend too much money, eat too much food, and place WAY too much self imposed pressure on ourselves, AND others, to be jolly.
If your anything like me, your answer to the question, "Are you ready for Christmas?", is, "to be over?" ;) A bit cynical I know, and yet it's often much more honest than any other answer I could offer.
That being said, I'm steadily gaining traction in the practice of detaching from the societal madness, and instead focusing on figuring out what this time of year truly means to me. Have I figured it out? Not yet, BUT this year I'm nowhere near losing my shiznit like I have in the past ;) And I'll take that progress as a GREAT gift for sure!
My hope is that in this episode you'll hear something that will make you laugh, remind you that your not alone, offer options you weren't aware of, provide hope or bring you a bit of serenity :)
So whether your focus is on Jesus, Santa, Capitalism, Food, Presents, Etc, or NONE of the mentioned options, here's to making it this far through 2022 :)
I know we've all dealt with, or are presently dealing with, plenty of challenges, and so I personally wish for all many many joy filled moments mixed in with the guaranteed bumps that come with this earthly experience.
