Steve and Kyle welcome Brent Acorn to the show. Professionally Brent is a firefighter and retired substitute school teacher. He is also a dedicated Life Member of the Wild Sheep Society of BC and a number of other important conservation-based organizations.
Brent uses the words budget and blue-collar in his discussions and how he has been fortunate to do some very cool guided hunts abroad including a Dall Sheep hunt in the Yukon. He talks about his experiences travelling to South America, South Africa and the Yukon and his upcoming plans for this December chasing mouflon and ibex.
Brent is a humble, down-to-earth guy and he touches on how and why he got into sheep hunting. He reflects on the harvest strategy that he and his circle of fellow sheep hunters employ. While getting a nice legal ram for your first is rewarding, helping your buddies get their first ram and holding out for an old mature ram are two concepts that are front of mind.
You are going to enjoy hearing what motivates Brent and the successes he has enjoyed as a sheep hunter. The Wild Sheep Society is proud to have the support of Brent and our dedicated membership.
