Tammy Peterson grew up 4th of 4 children in a small town in Northern Alberta in the sixties and seventies. Her family lived in a small town of 2000 people called Fairview, which is 350 miles north of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada.
Tammy left home at 18 years old to live on her own in Montreal, Quebec.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Ottawa in 1987.
After graduation, Tammy moved back to Montreal to marry her childhood sweetheart, Canadian Psychologist and author Dr. Jordan Peterson, and began to work as a Physiotherapy research assistant, and eventually found work as a massage therapist. She also studied art at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto.
Tammy has now been married for 32 years and has 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
She recently accompanied her husband on a world wide book tour and supported the tour by making sure that everything ran like clockwork.
In 2019, Tammy became seriously ill with an aggressive kidney cancer, and used prayer and other spiritual approaches in addition to conventional treatment in order to heal.
She currently spends her time with her family, practicing art, staying fit, and makes a daily effort to stay healthy.
