Tyler Glasnow had his first bad start as a Dodger, giving up eight hits and six runs to the Nationals. We found out after the game that he was sick so hopefully that's what the issue was. His bad start came at a tough time for the Dodgers pitching staff as there are a lot of moving parts this week in order to make up for inefficiency and injuries. Shohei Ohtani has started the year bad with runners in scoring position, and Freddie Freeman has just struggled in general for a week or so now. The Dodgers really need them to kick it into gear. Tyler Glasnow was apparently not feeling great tonight when he took the mound. He had a tough time with location giving up 6 runs on 8 hits over 5 innings. Bullpen was good as 2 rookies did not give up a hit over the final 4. Dodgers again struggled with RISP going 1-6. Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernandez each had 2 hits. Nationals down the Dodgers 6-4

The pitching let down the Dodgers in a series loss to the Padres over the weekend. Gavin Stone was great on Saturday but a blown lead and a ton of walks led to losses in the other games. We also learned of an injury to Bobby Miller, an update on Emmet Sheehan and it's leads to questions about the state of the Dodgers pitching for the next few weeks. The top 5 hitters in the Dodgers line-up all had a hit Will Smith had 2 and Max Muncy hit a 2-run shot his 4th of the season. But the Pitching staff did not have such a great night walking 14 in all. James Paxton struggled to find the zone late in counts and walked 8 but left the game after 5 with no decision giving up 3 runs on 3 hits.

After a 2+ hour rain delay Dodgers and Padres get things rolling Mookie Betts knocked in the first run of the game with one of his 3 hits he also had an RBI in the 3 run 6th. Shohei Ohtani's 8 game hitting streak came to an end but he did have a sac fly RBI. Gavin Stone got the win throwing 5 perfect innings finishing with 6 2/3 giving up 2 runs on 5 hits. The bottom of the lineup had 4 hits and 5 runs.

It was a home run derby at Dodger stadium. Manny Machado  hit one in the first inning to lead 2-0 Shohei Ohtani answered with his 4th in the bottom of the 1st. Max Muncy hit a solo shot in the 2nd, Mookie Betts hit his 6th with 2 aboard and Teoscar Hernandez added to his league leading RBI total to make it 7-3 in the 3rd. But they went 2-28 from there and the Padres rallied with 3 more dingers and squeak it out 8-7 in the 11th.

We got even more details on the Shohei Ohtani and Ippei Mizuhara situation, as it has now been reported that Mizuhara stole over $16M from Ohtani's bank account. There was 37 pages of federal documents that essentially laid out and answered any questions someone may have over the situation. It also appears that Ohtani won't face any discipline from MLB either, obviously. The Dodgers lost the final game of the series to the Twins but the big story of the day ended up being reports that Shohei Ohtani has been cleared by federal authorities of any wrongdoing in the case involving Ippei Mizuhara and gambling. TMZ reported that Ohtani has been cleared and that Mizuhara will be charged any day now, while the New York Times reported that Mizuhara is expected to plead guilty. Dodgers grabbed an early 1-0 advantage on a Teoscar Hernandez double. That lead would be short lived as Bobby Miller gave up a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 1st to Edourad Julien to tie the game. Max Muncy would homer in 4th to tie the game at 2 but Julien would homer again to make it 3-2. It looked like the Dodgers had tied the game on a Freddie Freeman double down the line but Carlos Carrea threw a strike to the plate to nail Shohei Ohtani and preserve the lead. 3-2 the final

Shohei Ohtani is now the team leader and MLB leader in extra-base hits after picking up two doubles and a homer in a win over the Twins on Monday. Ohtani credited some of the success with his swing to swinging a cricket bat with a baseball bat handle in order to work on his bat path. Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets his first win as a Dodger in spite of getting into some trouble early he goes 5 giving up just 3 hits while striking out 8. Max Muncy Knocked in 2 of the 4 runs with a single in the 5th. #ShoheiOhtani with an other 2 hits to get his Avg over .300  4-1 the final.

Bobby Miller got off to a good start striking out the side in the first but got roughed up in the 2nd giving up 5 runs on  4 hits. Shohei Ohtani homered for the 2nd game in a row to bring them within 2. Will Smith with one of his 4 hits on the day knocked in Freddie Freeman to make it a one-run game. But the Cubs got three more in the 6th to extend the lead. The Dodgers were not dead yet loading the bases in the 9th but James Outman lined out to end the rally 9-7 the final.

It finally happened. Shohei Ohtani hit his first Dodgers home run at Dodger Stadium against the San Francisco Giants. It was a monstrous home run and part of a day where Ohtani had two hits and two runs scored. Also, the Dodgers have hit against left-handed pitching well so far this season. Dodgers complete the sweep of the Giants 5-4. They have scored 5 or more in the first 9 games. Shohei Ohtani  hits his first home run in Dodgers blue a 430 ft bomb. Miguel Rojas also went deep.
