Why cant commercials and ads be honest and do we need them all?
07-12-2022
Why cant commercials and ads be honest and do we need them all?
We all say that "honesty is the best policy" - but even that's a little white lie. Human beings can only handle the truth in small doses. In other words, we like honesty when it makes us feel good. Did that dress really make her look fat? Did he really do a good job with that DIY (do it yourself) project?-Marketing blurs the lines between honesty and truth in a truly artistic way. The best marketers know that if they want to get the sale, they need to give their prospects a hint of truth, sweetened by an entire butt-load of delicious, sugary lies.-Now, don't get us wrong. We're not saying that all marketers do is lie about their products and services. There's honesty at the heart of every ad campaign you see. The only difference is that marketers know how to "exaggerate" the truth. Sure, we're honest in what we do - but it's fair to say that no one has ever sprayed on a ton of Lynx body spray and suddenly found themselves covered in half-naked models.-The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is a hard pill for people to swallow. The key to really leveraging transparency and authenticity in all its glory is figuring out how to use the right amount of truth in your campaigns, and in the development of your brand. - In the end though (besides all the 'half-truths') do we really need all these commercials and advertisements? -This is our topic for todays episode. Crucial Social Etiquette Rules Everyone Should Follow
What Are Social Graces and Etiquette, and Why Are They So Important for people when they are Children To Learn? Social graces are the polite manners that any person can use in certain situations. Grace can be defined as simple elegance or refinement of movement. -Teaching people social graces is essential because it ultimately helps children and adults feel better about their actions! By using social graces, they are able to build their confidence and feel more secure in their actions. As a result, people feel more comfortable with their actions and feelings. -Learning social graces is not a difficult task. It can be taught to anyone of any age. Social grace lessons may start during the preschool years with the general manners of “please” and “thank you,” but there’s more to social graces than just basic manners. -Etiquette on the other hand is not just about which fork to use. It’s showing respect for yourself and everyone else in your little corner of the planet. In a world where rudeness often reigns, why not stand out for being polite and thoughtful? You don’t even have to go to charm school or binge-watch Downton Abbey to learn the rules! Here are some 50ish easy ways to share more kindness and less saltiness this year and the years to come.-This is our topic for todays episode. Why you should never meet your heroes.
23-11-2022
Why you should never meet your heroes.
They say “Never meet your heroes,” and I can tell you from experience that it’s good advice. I’ve met all of my idols, and I’ve been disappointed by every single one. You’ve read everything they ever written, seen everything they ever done. They have changed your life and the way you think. You share the same brain. When at last you meet, there will be an instant connection, and the two of you will become lasting friends — or better yet, mentor and mentee.-You probably have a story like mine. You can point to a specific moment in your life and say: “There. That’s where my faith in humans started to fall apart.” Never meet your heroes and we talk about that in today's episode.-This is our topic for todays episode. Tell me you Love Me
16-11-2022
Tell me you Love Me
True love is magical. True love is mystical‒Right? Well, kind of. But it’s more than that, as anyone in a relationship can tell you. Read on to find ten things you need to know about true love.-1. True love is not about finding yourself in another.Don’t fall in love, or think you’re in love, just because you want to find yourself. Your identity is not to be someone’s other half‒it’s to be yourself! Don’t get so swept up in your partner that you become them. You don’t need to be the number one fan of their favorite band or read all the books they read. Keep your interests and hobbies and you’ll be more interesting to, and interested in, your partner.-2. Self love is the best way to find true love.It sounds like a cliche, something your mom and girlfriends told you every time you were crying over a broken heart, but it’s true‒you must love yourself before you can love anyone else. Be comfortable with yourself, even when you’re having a bad day. Know who you really are, deep down inside, and know what you want to do with your life. Being in love with yourself and having your life on track are not only incredibly self-satisfying, they’re really attractive qualities to a partner.-3. True love is not demanding.Your partner should never ask you to change if you’re truly loved. And if you truly love your partner, you shouldn’t expect him to change. You got into a relationship because you liked each other, and you grew to love each other as you are. Why would you need to change someone you love so deeply? Accept them as they are, and you’ll get that consideration in return.-4. True love allows you to be yourself.Being yourself in front of your partner can seem scary at first. Waking up without any makeup on, and your hair a mess? What about him seeing you when you’re sick‒runny nose, bloodshot eyes and all. It’s something you want to avoid as long as you can. But you shouldn’t feel that way. When you’re in love, even the worst illness is a beautiful experience because it’s worth it. Your partner helping you through a messy episode or kissing you with morning breath is a major step towards your future, and it shows how much he truly loves you.-5. True love comes naturally.Do you have doubts about your partner? Are you not sure they’re right for you? If you’re asking yourself too many questions about your partner, your relationship, and your future together, then you’re probably not in love. When you’re truly in love, you don’t question anything. It feels natural to be with your partner, and you know you can work through anything to achieve that future you’re dreaming of.-6. To get love, you must give love. You can’t be in a loving relationship if you hold back. You can’t use love as a bargaining chip. Don’t tell your partner you love him only when he does something good around the house. Don’t give him the cold shoulder if he makes a mistake. You have to love him all the time, regardless of his words or actions, because true love is unconditional. If you give your partner this much love, you’ll get it‒and more!‒in return.-7. True love is based on friendship. So many TV show relationships are based on friends who fall in love over time. It’s a great premise, and a nice daydream, but life isn’t TV. You don’t need to be best friends with your partner since kindergarten for love to last. But you need to be friends with your partner. You need to be able to talk, to share jokes, and to enjoy each others’ company. Over time, the physical passion may fade, but true friendship will last forever.-8. True love lasts.Think back to those casual relationships where your significant other wiping his nose on your bath towel was enough to end it. Those relationships are immature, and whatever you thought you experienced wasn’t love. When you’re...
Drama, Reality TV, Competition

Drama, Reality TV, Competition
** Drama **Drama is when a person creates problems for themselves because they are Prima Donna's and then obsess over those problems to other people, especially people with far more complicated problems.-** Reality TV **A truly saddening development of modern media. Programming which lacks any redeeming social, intellectual or moral value but is nonetheless poigniant in a macabre way due to the reflection it offers of a rapidly declining western culture. Primarily watched by mindless, brainwashed Americans who are long since bereft of any intelligent thought or recognizable human values (greed and self-interest notwithstanding).-** Competition **Competition is a rivalry where two or more parties strive for a common goal which cannot be shared: where one's gain is the other's loss (an example of which is a zero-sum game).[1] Competition can arise between entities such as organisms, individuals, economic and social groups, etc. The rivalry can be over attainment of any exclusive goal, including recognition.-This is our topic for todays episode. Is it being Safe and Secure or is it being Paranoid?
02-11-2022
Is it being Safe and Secure or is it being Paranoid?
At a time when fear seems to be driving our society, safety is a major issue. Many people don’t feel safe. Many believe that the crime rate has increased over the past few years. The reality is that it has decreased significantly since the 1970s and that the ‘70s in many ways were the most dangerous times for personal safety for people in this society.-Unfortunately, the media does much to perpetuate the fear that exists. The old saying in the newsroom is, ‘If it bleeds, it leads.’ Shootings and personal tragedies are at the top of the news broadcasts. We are constantly bombarded with ads for personal safety systems, alarms that will tell us if our house is being broken into and will alert the police. Many people believe that they must own a gun in order to be safe, and they are fearful that their guns will be taken away by the government. I own a gun, an old service revolver that I wore when I worked for the sheriff’s department many years ago. I must say, though, that it doesn’t make me feel any safer having it in the house. In fact, statistics suggest that having a firearm in the home makes it more likely that someone in your family may die, rather than an intruder.-And do we really need assault weapons with huge magazines? I doubt it. I don’t think the Vandals are going to be at the gate anytime soon.-This is our topic for todays episode. The Importance of Law Enforcement
27-10-2022
The Importance of Law Enforcement
Law enforcement officers are commissioned to keep citizens safe 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The duties of police carry a great deal of risk, but many people pursue a career as a police officer because they feel a moral calling to protect and serve others. If you're interested in a career as a police officer, it is critical that you understand the demanding responsibilities involved in this challenging but fulfilling job.-The primary duty of a police officer is to protect people and property. Common duties of police include controlling traffic, patrolling neighborhoods, responding to emergency calls, writing citations, delivering warrants, arresting violators and submitting incident reports in a timely manner. Police are also called occasionally to testify in court about a situation they witnessed or handled. Additionally, duties of police include educational outreach to the public to help prevent and solve crime. A typical day varies depending on the jurisdiction and agency type.-Ethics, integrity, accountability and honesty are important values for a police officer to possess. At all times, police officers must follow the law and departmental regulations. For example, use of force must be reasonable and necessary. They are expected to carry out their duties and responsibilities equitably and justly. Police must not show favoritism or act in a discriminatory manner recognizing that all citizens deserve respectful treatment regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, national origin or religion, for instance.-This is our topic for todays episode. Why is this fight for Women’s Rights still a thing?
19-10-2022
Why is this fight for Women’s Rights still a thing?
We are all entitled to human rights. These include the right to live free from violence and discrimination; to enjoy the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health; to be educated; to own property; to vote; and to earn an equal wage.- But across the globe many women and girls still face discrimination on the basis of sex and gender. Gender inequality underpins many problems which disproportionately affect women and girls, such as domestic and sexual violence, lower pay, lack of access to education, and inadequate healthcare.- For many years women’s rights movements have fought hard to address this inequality, campaigning to change laws or taking to the streets to demand their rights are respected. And new movements have flourished in the digital age, such as the #MeToo campaign which highlights the prevalence of gender-based violence and sexual harassment.-Through research, advocacy and campaigning, there is an ongoing battle to pressure the people in power to respect women’s rights.-This is our topic for todays episode. Video Games – A Brief History, Pro and Cons, What is Next?

Video Games – A Brief History, Pro and Cons, What is Next?
Today, video games make up a $100 billion global industry, and nearly two-thirds of American homes have household members who play video games regularly. And it’s really no wonder: Video games have been around for decades and span the gamut of platforms, from arcade systems, to home consoles, to handheld consoles and mobile devices. They’re also often at the forefront of computer technology.-Though video games are found today in homes worldwide, they actually got their start in the research labs of scientists. Modern gaming, as we know it, really didn’t get kick off until the late 1980s. But before even that, the business was widely experimental, though a few commercial breakthroughs ultimately brought gaming to the masses.-The gaming industry has progressed rapidly in the past few decades. Thanks to technological advancements such as 3D graphics, VR, and AI, video games are continuously evolving. As developers introduce new innovations, players will discover more realistic, fully immersive simulations on screens and lenses and will be able to connect further with others. The future of video games will be shaped by our desire to create awe-inspiring experiences and increase our opportunities for social interaction and engagement.-This is our topic for todays episode. Covid Roundup, Freedumb PhoTests, Ignorance 101
Facts - Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are near someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth. The virus spreads more easily indoors and in crowded settings. In todays episode we are going to do a roundup of Covid facts, details, conspiracies and moving forward from here. This will include some ideas of how the 'FreeDumb Protests' were used for politic maneuvering and also how the world stage changed starting with Covid. As Covid is 'still at thing' and something we should still respect - from our perspective it is a beginning to something else and so far we are failing.Get your tin foil hats ready and your beliefs or disbeliefs on guard. Come give a listen to this exciting episode.* Warning - Some people may be offended and upset at what they hear in this episode so if you are closed minded you may want to switch to a less intellectual podcast.Like always this is will be the VERY best variety topic excellence you expect from us. Life, Death, The History of the World

Life, Death, The History of the World
If life is so short why do people waste it? Do people not know that any obstacle can be overcome? Truly can people not see there is a solution for every problem? Maybe if we work together as one we could solve even the mystery of death? Why is it when people die that others run away from it? How did these people become so heartless? Does anyone look back in history to learn from the past? Do people not realize that the same mistakes are being repeated over and over again? How is a species so advanced become so stupid when we should be evolving? Can we ever master the ‘Life/Death’ riddle and live forever with peace and harmony? Like always this is will be the VERY best variety topic excellence you expect from us. These are our opinions and thoughts which all MAY not agree with. Fakeness for Follows, Applauding Bad Behavior, Correcting Failures
Why do people act overly supportive and positive just to maintain a following? Why do we seem to support bad behaviors that we know are wrong? What happened to ‘Dislikes’ on social media platforms? Is this to prevent Trolls or Toxic people? Do people know that it is ok to show disapproval? Do people know that the only way to help people grow and improve is to actually tell them they are doing it wrong? Yes, there are desperate measures for desperate times but that excuse only goes so far. How do people not know that their scandalous acts will follow them and grant them less opportunity in the future? If we don’t correct wrongful doing do we just feel people will magically see the light and right way? Like always this is will be the VERY best variety topic excellence you expect from us. Political, Environmental and Social Climates

Political, Environmental and Social Climates
What are the ways we can save the changing climate? What factors dictate why there are issues in making changes? Are we truly recycling or just faking it? Can we take the focus away from the lack of profit financially and put it towards longevity? Can we govern successfully to protect key Ecosystems from being exploited and abused? Climate change can reasonably be expected to increase the frequency and intensity of a variety of potentially disruptive environmental events--slowly at first, but then more quickly.During the coming decade, certain climate-related events will produce consequences that exceed the capacity of the affected societies or global systems to manage; these may have global security implications.Like always this is will be the VERY best variety topic excellence you expect from us.
